- Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding (HEERF)
The Graduate School has received a limited allocation of funding provided through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) program. Columbia University is launching the next phase of disbursement to domestic and international students of these federal funds. GSAS’s neediest students who are enrolled full time in the fall 2021 semester in programs that do not already have a fully-funded financial aid policy will receive $1500 per student paid directly to students or credited to the student account in an effort to reduce a balance owed to the University. If selected, these one-time grants to eligible students may be used for costs to support items such as tuition, fees, food, housing, course materials, technology, health care (including mental), and child care or other educationally related expenses. Those students who are not eligible for this funding may apply for GSAS’s own emergency aid through HEERF.Additional information regarding HEERF funding, including required institutional disclosures, may be found here.
