The Department of Statistics, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and the Division of Management of the Columbia Business School cooperate in offering a graduate program in operations research. Interested students should consult a member of the committee at an early stage of their graduate careers. The applicant must be admitted in the usual way to one of the participating departments. A strong undergraduate background in mathematics is essential.
