Workshops & Events

The GSAS Writing Studio offers workshops and events for Arts and Sciences graduate students throughout the year. Studio programs cover a range of topics from making a semester plan to building community with fellow graduate students. Our full slate of Fall 2026 programming begins Monday, September 14. Workshop Series: Academic Writing for Multilingual Graduate Writers
Academic Writing for Multilingual Graduate Writers is a series of highly structured, interactive workshops for GSAS writers working on a thesis or dissertation in English as an additional language. Each session offers expert support from an American Language Program (ALP) instructor on specific concerns related to scholarly writing in English. Learn more and register here.

AI Literacy for Graduate Scholars: Part 1

Designed specifically for graduate scholars, this AI literacy workshop invites thesis and dissertation writers to consider their own scholarly development and to understand Generative AI's potential roles, and risks, in the research and writing process. Open to all GSAS students at any phase of the thesis or dissertation process.

AI Literacy for Graduate Scholars: Part 2

In Part 2 of our AI Literacy workshop, graduate scholars apply an AI literacy framework to specific writing tasks, from idea generation to final editing. Through in-depth discussion of the potential uses of AI tools, participants develop an adaptable set of questions to guide their decision making when considering AI-assistance for research and writing.

International Education Week: On Wednesdays We Write
