Machine Learning 4 Everyone

September 25, 2025
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Butler Library, 535 W. 114 St., New York, NY 10027 208B

Have you ever wondered how algorithms predict what you’ll buy, read, or even study next? This beginner-level workshop will explain  classic machine learning concepts and methods that shape everyday decision making and research. We won't go deep or write code. Instead we'll play with real data and a visual no-code tool to run models, make predictions, and change results. Whether you’re reading scholarly work or just curious about why you get certain song, game, or movie recommendations, this workshop will give you a clearer picture of the algorithms underneath.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop. Installation instructions will be sent by the workshop instructor.
