On behalf of Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters (SRHM) and Columbia University’s Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health (PopFam), we are pleased to invite you to an upcoming webinar on environmental justice and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), to be held as a side event of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).
The webinar will explore how environmental justice and injustice - including extractivism, climate change, land dispossession and unequal resource governance - intersect with economic inequality and shape sexual and reproductive health and rights, with a particular focus on women and girls.
The discussion will examine accountability gaps and structural barriers to justice, and highlight evidence- and rights-based responses that advance equality, sustainability, and the wellbeing of communities.
